The newest Qualcomm chips will perform just as good as most of the dual core mobile chips from Intel. ARM isn't a weaker architecture at all, at least for mobile stuff. x86 will still be a better choice for powerful workstations, all in ones, or desktop replacements. The x86 emulation for ARM that they are talking about isn't really relevant, it's essentially a marketing-ploy. Go buy the ARM laptop because we promise you'll be able to run all your usual programs - except that it'll be Windows 10S and you're locked into the Microsoft appstore where all the binaries will have native ARM versions anyway.

intel mobile cpu are crappy ass, 835sd pretty outperforms any mobile i3-i5.
835sd have 8 real cores. Most mobile i3-i5 only have 2 real cores.
835 have better ipc than i3/5.
i3/5 starts to trotlle, because it overheats easily. 835 doesnt have this problem in laptops.
You can expect much more powerul ARM cpus, if they catch on in laptops. There is a reason nobody uses intel cpus in mobile phones.
