OP here. I had the bag for a number of years, while I don't know if the bag is listed as waterproof. I can say that the material is fairly decent, I used to carry an X61 and then later an X230 in it. I was never concerned about going out in the rain with this bag.

What's a comfortable messenger bag or rucksack for carrying a few books and a laptop? I need to get a new one before next semester at uni since I've worn my current bag (which I've had since HS) threadbare.
