I'm looking to upgrade my Moto G3 sometime in the next few months. Features I'm looking for are water resistance, USB-C charging port, headphone jack, and a price point under $350 or so.

Are there any phones out right now or planned to be released that would meet that criteria?

The Blade V8 Pro meets all that except for the water resistance

It's pretty much the only phone that matches your criteria. IP68, USB Type C, Exynos 7880(SD625 equilevant) etc.
works on at&t and t-mobile, won't work on sprint/verizon.

Finland, during summer holiday most university students work and lectures ends somewhere in 1.5-15.5 and starts again in 1.9-5.9. So you can work for 4 months approximately. I usually make 8k€ during that time also.

I completely destroyed my op3 display and i need to retrieve all my data back AND actual conversations i have on various chat apps. I don't think retrieving chats convos is something possible, especially with apps like kik.

Also, the screen costs nearly 200 euros unless i want to receive it in two months and OP5 will be out soon a round 500 euros.
Should i buy a screen? Is there a way to see whats on my phone? Like a throaway display tester? I extremely need to retrieve my data and to see last messages.

Also, the phone is rooted but i could not use software to see what was on my phone because adb was not activated. Moreover i don t know if it's a good idea at all turning on a phone without the display plugged in

Be aware that OnePlus is super shitty about keeping accessories in stock. My only gripe about my OP3T is that they have never had the Dash car charger in stock ever since I've owned the device. And since OP uses their own proprietary "Dash" quick charging you can't really just go on Amazon and find a charger. They're only made by OP. Also their Dash charging cable, required for Dash charging, only comes in 150cm/5ft max.
>>
>>60943736
Doesn't OPPO also use Dash Charge?
>>
Is there much difference between redmi note 4 32gb 3gb ram and 64gb 4gb ram versions? Is there any offers for 64gb version atm?
>>
>>60943620
Pay for a repair? I can do that myself, i just need a new screen. That was not even the point though, i could totally avoid spending 200 euros for a new screen when there is a NEW one coming out,

So my point is, can i retrieve my data? How? Can i see in some way last messages sent on the phone?

Any phone with snapdragon 650/820, of the top of my head: redmi note 3 pro, xperia x compact, galaxy s7, htc 10; the redmi and htc phones are super cheap right now (130 and 240 dollars respectively), but only if you live in clapistan.

The snapdragon 425 also meets your requirement, but being a low end SoC it will most likely lag on any game you throw at it.

Hey guys-

I was leanimg towards the HTC 10, but it was pointed out to me that the moto is a bit cheaper on Amazon prime. I still don't know if I will receive the replacement even if they recognise by email that I have the right to get it

LG V20 has a microSD slot, a removable battery, HiFi DAC and dual cameras. If any of those features matter to you then go with the V20, otherwise the Oneplus 3T is better.

Canada, koodo, ~250$ leafbucks/200$USD
Upgrading from HTC One M7, its getting slower and starting to heat up more, and I'd like to replace it before it dies so I can keep it around as a backup.
I don't play any particularly demanding games
Looked at Redmi Note 4, it would be basically perfect but apparently it doesn't have the 4G frequency Koodo uses. I assume it'll still work with 3G, is that a big enough downgrade to be worth caring about?
Other options I've looked at are the Note 4X, which apparently does have the right frequency, but would be 3gb ram instead of 4. Same 625 though, according to kimovil at least. How significant is the difference?
Also checked out the 4gb Le Max 2. Its pretty close to the max I'd want to spend, and I'm hesitant about the lack of a headphone jack, and the huge battery on the others is appealing, but it seems like easily the most impressive screen and performance for the price. The lack of an SD card slot is a minor inconvenience, but I can live with 64gb perfectly happily.
Also I just noticed http://www.geekbuying.com/item/LeTV-LeEco-Le-Max-2-Pro-X820-6GB-64GB-Smartphone---Gray-379130.html is sayings its 52% off for the next day or so. What does it being the EU version mean? I can't see it say anything about different frequencies anywhere.

Thoughts? Suggestions for other phones to look at? Am I doing something retarded I should know about?
Thanks friends

Aptoide has a md5 checking feature for some apps, look into that, also users can rate apps and tell if it's a virus, you can also just use virustotal

Fdroid is foss and usually quite good, although you won't find anything too complex because it's just indie stuff made by random people

>>60956505
Blackmart. This is what you're looking for. Although it's legit .apk file is hard to find. It also pops out ads, or at least it did before. I have a system-wide adblock so I don't know if it still has ads.
Some apps still require manual patching to get to work (like Terraria, FL Studio, apps with seperate activator apps) because their devs have made countermeasures against piracy.

Aptoide is an actual alternative to PlayStore, but it doesn't have many pirated apps.

Yalp is simply a light PlayStore. It's 10x better because it doesn't spend any system resources until it's launched. So it saves battery life and bandwidth. This should definitely be used instead of play store, but make sure you disable or uninstall play store.

Fdroid is a free and open source app store for free and open source apps. It has amazing apps, AdAway, AFWall+, NetGuard, Yalp Store, Amaze, Silence, NewPipe, SkyTube, OsmAnd, K9 Mail... Lots of these are better alternatives to default apps.

Nokia
>>
>>60958683
The only one in that price range seems to be Nokia 3.
>>
>>60958563
Redmi 4A :^)

>>60958789
What's your price range anyway? Below $100? All smartphones below $130 are shit tier quality.
>>
>>60958845
I would say around 150 dollars, though the price varies, because I am in Eastern Europe.
>>
>>60958860
At that price it barely matters what you get really.

Nothing is gonna be all that much better than anything else in that price range.
>>
What's the best smaller smartphone with a big battery reserve, preferably cheaper? I still have my s3 and I would love it if not for it's fucked battery (sometimes it charges sometimes not, depending on fuck knows what)
>>
Is there good custom roms for Lenovo P2? I heard the ZUI is pretty bad and doesn't receive any updates?
>>
>>60958860
So why say you can't get Redmi 4X? It costs exactly 150 dollars in EU. It even ships from EU.

>>
>>60958789
get it, it's perfect for what you want it for, ie. something simple for an older person
>>
>>60958905
How small do you need it to be?
>>
>>60958908
Lenovo P2 doesn't have ZUI

>>60958905
Redmi 4X or 4 Pro
>>
>>60958910
Because as I said I live in Eastern Europe. Shipping from outside the country is not much of an option. Redmi 4x is more expensive within the country and when it comes to the specific shop I want to buy from (because I have some free credits I can you use there) they don't even have Xiaomi products. Their Moto phones seem very limited in models as well.

Any other opinions about the Nokia 3? Seems to be a very new model so maybe so maybe there are not any opinions on it here so far? Saw an article claiming it has a "clean" Android.

Honestly as small as it can be, hopefully less than 5 inches

I'm looking at reviews and it's all indians and arabs, can't stand their broken english

>>60959042
Aren't all phone reviews just Indians and Arabs?

>Lenovo P2 doesn't have ZUI
What UI it uses?
>>
>>60959060
Don't know if there's a name for the UI, it's quite close to stock but not exactly. You can read more here

Seems so, honestly fuck it, I'm just gonna wait till my s3 croaks and then buy a dumbphone, for the price of a normal smartphone I can buy a fucking computer
>>
>>60959117
Why not just buy new battery for that phone?

Shipping is free if your country is in EU.

>>60959021
You won't find that many non-outdated phones under 5 inches. Everything cheap and that small probably runs KitKat or Lollipop. The only good phone to fit the criteria is Xperia X Compact, but it's not as cheap as 5 inch phones with a similar or better battery life.
>>
>>60959107
Thanks I think I rather go for P2 I like the pure android experience without bloatware.
>>
>>60956329
my friend open up at least one savings account and put it the low low amount of 20usd a month. this will help you out bc youll have money saved away and in case of emergency you'll have something to lean on.

Even if that is really true, what happens when the phone is DOA or something? Sending it back will be a bitch and if they even accept it at all. There doesn't seem to even be an official Xiaomi service here so any warranty will be useless.

Thanks for the replies /g/uys! Took the plunge and ordered my op3t! Found a midnight black one on ebay like new. Can't wait to see what a phone with as close to vanilla android as possible is like.
