I need a recommendation for a Power Supply for my current build. i just upgraded my CPU from an i3 6100 to an i7 7700k. I noticed an FPS drop in games like Overwatch and Final Fantasy 14. I tried reinstalling all of my display drivers with no luck (i3 ran FF14 at 130+ fps, i7 running at less than 100fps). After doing some research online im assuming the power supply is the issue. here is my current setup
mobo -AS Rock H170a-x1
CPU - Intel i7 7700k (4.2ghz) (stock fan)
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1080 Turbo OC
Ram - 16gb (4x4gb) CORSAIR Vengeance LPX
Storage - 250gb samsung evo ssd + 500gb 7200rpm hdd
optical - ASUS DVD burner
cooling - 5x 120mm fans+ leds
gaming mouse + keyboard
gaming headset (Astro A50)
Monitor - Dell 27 inch infinity edge + Acer 24 inch (60hz on both)
Wireless Card - ASUS PCE-AC68
PSU - dont have specifics on hand but it is at least 7 yrs old and is 650watts.

>/g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site.
FPS drops are normal with shintel. Should of go with Ryzen.

Fuck off retard.
Return it and get a Ryzen

650 watts should be sufficient. Your PSU is 7 years old? That's not too shabby, but there might be slight hardware degradation on one of your older components, like mobo and PSU, also possible that you may have just received a faulty chip from Intel, cross verify before wasting Intel customer supports time though
Is the BIOS properly updated for Kaby Lake?

your mobo is shit, if your PSU is a 80+ it is just fine. See if you can update your BIOS.

>. I noticed an FPS drop in games like Overwatch
it's an intel feature.
rejoice because for every FPS drop, you can also have FPS Turboboost
