Does anybody have any experience with TCL? or Learning it?

I've looked at it before. It seems to be pretty dead. Barely anyone uses it so there aren't many resources to start.
The tcl wiki is a complete clusterfuck and is confusing as fuck.
Just learn Lua or some other scripting language instead.
its an ok language, its a little quirky, very similar to shell scripting, but more powerful.Everything is a string and the syntax takes a while to get accustomed to.
What can one use TCL for? What is a good project?

Almost everything is a string and it gets kinda wonky. Mostly use it for scripts on machines that come with it for, I see it used mostly for ping scripts and other network applications on the odd cisco machine. It is powerful at doing certain tasks (that I can't remember right now), can kind of do everything but is not really ideal all the time.
In short, it's just like every other quirky scripting language.
