I run a semi popular subscription based podcast. I'm worried about piracy and was wondering what I need to do to prevent people from buying my podcasts and sharing them for free which would cut into my profits?
There is no way. Even if you sell it through iTunes people are still going to have some means of copying it.
My advice is to try selling something that has value like ad space instead of something that doesn't like an audio file.

Link to the podcast?
Literally no way. Anyone could just record the entire stream with a basic screen capture software. You can't stop that.

If your content is worth anything, people will support it. Look at Patreon.

>worried about piracy
You made your first mistake.
Make a good product first. The money will come naturally. Focus on money and you will ruin your product. Time has proven repeatedly piracy only hurts the sales of bad products. Just put out good stuff and piracy will benefit you.

I am entitled to whatever you produce and I'm not gonna pay a single cent, capitalist scum.
