Did anyone ever achieve a successful useful stable pantheon install on any OS other than eOS? I like pantheon and should be nice on arch but seems unstable and impossible

I tried a few times on Manjaro and never managed to get it working. Either the session wouldn't start, or it would freeze minutes after doing anything.
After taking a deeper look at the desktop in Elementary I saw it was just locked down wanna be OSX GNOME fork with zero longevity, so I went back to my usual Cinnamon...
