at the end of the second world war, japanese engineers were facing retribution for imperial japan. As the US used Atomic weapons on Japan - a deal was made with the facists that they would not be criminally punished and could continue to work in industry. Many of these ex-facist/imperials started working in technology, they decided that to screw over capitalist society - to design by far the worst controller for an otherwise competitive gaming console. the imperialists and facist would design the most annoying and ergonomic controller and laugh while the world looked on in horror. So bad that not even a autistic savant could figure out a way for it to not give themselves hand cramps.
thankfully some nice socialists created adaptors so you can use any input you want.

Dualshock 4 is amazingly comfortable. So is the Xbox One controller, however, the Xbox' bumpers are painful to press for me, and the asymmetrical sticks fuck with my arthritic thumbs. So, symmetrical sticks+ergonomically pleasing design= win.
