Thinking about doing a new build and will likely go for the Define R5. To me it just looks like a fantastic case with plenty of room and good cooling features while also keeping noise to a minumum without looking like some high-tech space launchtier machine.

I have that case and while it's nice to build in, is quiet, and will hold a shitload of hdds it bloody well aint beautiful. Looks nice on the pic though. In real life it just looks like a nondescript black computer box from the year 2000 or so.

Not him ,but i have define s which is pretty much the same. The main problem is that top vents don't have filters and fans don't cover the full vent. So you have 10mm gap where dust can just fall in.

Depends if you're water cooling or not. The S has fewer 3.5 inch drive bays, no 5.25 inch bays, but in it's place has dedicated mounts for pumps, reservoirs, and twin 360mm radiators. If you're not going to use that, don't bother with the S. It'll just be a bunch of wasted space. If you don't need the drive bays from the R5 or the water cooling capability of the S, get the Define C.

So set it up properly for positive pressure like you're supposed to. Dust accumulation while the system is turned off is minimal, and with proper pressurization you don't even need a filter on the top.

This is the deal with most cases in this price range and can be solved with an aftermarket filter for a few bucks or intelligently setting up your fans. It's a full steel case, solid, with nice mounts and great potential for cable management - the cons do not offset the pros, don't try to act like they do

what should i get between a Define C and a S340 Elite?

One has good airflow, tons of space, and silence focused design while the other has tempered glass, looks cool, has the hdmi passthrough, that magnetic puck, but mediocre aiflow and no sound dampening

/g/ shilled me into buying it and I absolutely love it, if I only could remove the 3.5 bay cage, it would be even better. I'd wait for R5 if I knew they'd fix that.
