I'm already the odd man out because I have a desktop at all.

Considering I don't play games much anymore and when I do its on console, and the fact I don't work with video in any way, I think I just use the desktop environment out of habit. I don't really need it.

Consumer electronics are very much so wanting to make them a thing.. but fuck it shouldn't be... hard to fix, shit tier specs, no ports... expensive... seriously fuck that

There's no reason a convertible can't be easy to fix, have decent specs, and have ports. As for expense, they'll probably always carry a premium because normal laptops can't convert to tablets.
