When this meme will end? The only good thing is the 600Ω amp. Idiotphiles are cancer.

It's so your dog can have a great gaming experience

You can't hear a difference above 44.1 kHz anyway, so I never understood the point of 96 kHz, 192 kHz and now this idiotic frequency.

>Idiotphiles are cancer
Why are you blaming audiophiles for a product that's clearly targeted to 12 year old gamers?
>>60904283
no audiophile would ever buy something like this.
>>60904283
When is it available/where can I buy it?

This isn't for audiophiles you dumbfuck

Audiophiles use an external dac+amp, not that shit.
>>60904553
Hmm, maybe Creative wants to replace a dac+amp setup?
>>60904553
>Audiophiles use an external dac+amp, not that shit.
This. Soundcards are irrelevant today when all sound mixing is done on the OS and then you can use bit-perfect digital output to a DAC of your choice.

Fuck off retarded nigger
>>60904627
Whats audiophile mean btw?

Not that anon, but please explain further. I'm curious to know how OSes could do the mixing and produce high-quality sound without a sound card.
>>60904694
All the sound data on your computer is digital. The OS mixes it in software (it's a simple addition to mix multiple channels, really). Then it sends the digital data to your preferred audio output device; either the onboard DAC or via HDMI to your TV, which is what does the digital -> analog conversion.
Soundcards change the onboard DAC to their own, which is irrelevant today, because 1. modern motherboards come with high-end setup with their own electrolytic caps to filter any noise, and 2. even the best soundcard won't rival a stand-alone external DAC / amplifier that you can feed with digital audio.

So I could just run the onboard/included sound hardware that comes with a PC, plug in an external DAC, plug some nice headphones/speakers into that, and get high-quality audio?
>>60904922
Yes.
>>60904935
That's good to know; could save me some money on my next build. Got any recs for decent/cheapish DACs?
>>60904946
>>60904922
external dac amps will always be superior to internal soundcards
>>60904922
>I could just run the onboard/included sound hardware that comes with a PC, plug in an external DAC
The onboard sound hardware is a DAC. If you plug in an external DAC preferably through HDMI, then it doesn't matter what you do with the onboard hardware, since it won't be doing any conversions. You'll be outputting the digital stream the OS makes.
But honestly, onboard sound is good enough. They even use HQ caps on motherboards today.

Last time I checked, Onkyo and Denon used to make the best quality amps.

Alright, looks like I've got some research to do. Thanks, anon.

FiiO E10K is the current meme for cheap AMP/DAC.
>>60905009
Whoops!
>>60905020
Cool, I'll look at that as well.

Also, if you don't mind spending $100, the Schiit Fulla 2 is the best in this price range.

Get >>60905047 instead, it's way better than the E10K for only a little more

If I have micca mb42x and a dayton audio sub-1000 only will I notice a difference by getting a schiit stack vs the e10k(already own)?
>>60905513
Schiit themselves said that their new Jotunheim is better than the stack, and about the same price too.
