so, having recently gotten into the cable of the gods, SCART, I looked for a VCR that could output with it & supposedly play both NTSC & PAL VHSs
I got it, a plug converter, & a way to convert SCART to HDMI, & have it all set up, but there's no video. there's audio, that's ringing clearly, but no video
the VCR I have is an LG model n301 that I bought from the UK. I only have NTSC VHSs, so i don't really have a way to test if this is

I see dual PAL/NTSC at bootsales all the time

You cant unless it is multiformat.
The tapes are recorded differently.
Also, you know scart vhs decks are still composite.

Oh, forgot to mention, multiformat decks dont change the format. Its still a pal signal, so whatever is accepting the signal needs to be able to accept pal.
