Whats the real difference between 4.2 and 4.4Ghz on a i5-6600K. I didn't win the die lottery sadly so I can't hit 4.5 however I'm sitting pretty at 4.2. Would I see any noticeable difference between 4.2 and 4.4?

I find it hard to believe you can't hit 4.5. what voltage?
>>60895882
Not really. It's 5% difference in clock speed only.
What voltages are you running, on what cooler?

1.320 on a 6600K w/ a 212 Evo.

What mobo? If that's all you can get your mobo is trash or you got a defective product. Return it if you can.

Z170x-UD3.
skylake is shit for overclocking. Can't get to 4.5ghz without going over 1.4 volts on a 6700k with an Asus Maximus VIII Ranger and a h100i v2.

More volts, 1.38 for mine, also that cooler is slightly small for wringing the last mhz out of your cpu without temps being too high.

Into the trash.

The 212 evo is a replacement for the stock fan, but not a cooler you should use when doing high voltage overclocking.
