Sophos is one of the best, what I hate about it is the fact that you have to connect to their homepage to control your antivirus.

It comes with hitman pro included and uses over 230mb of RAM on my PC!

Kaspersky found a bitcoin miner on my machine once. The thing was in one of the folders of the java development kit which I never updated.

In US and Russia big tech companies make extra money on feeding CIA/FSB directly with user data. In Yahoo they even wrote the CIA a program for searching in emails being sent.

Regardless of what you either have a backdoor for CIA (windows itself and all western crap) and with Kaspersky it's an FSB backdoor and one of the main guys actually works for them. Use plain linux like Trisquel or Qubes OS like Snowden.

I run nothing for Anti-virus on windows, but I occasionally check with MBAM, just in case. And I get nothing besides false positives from games.
