24" is pretty basic, my main monitor is 24, and I have a 22 and 21 beside it, most of our people have a 27, heck our graphic guy has the apple cinema 30" or whatever it was from years ago.

I run a 27" primary with a 21" secondary
>>
I find a single 24 16:10 monitor perfect for everything.

Does text get bigger with a bigger monitor?
>>
i have a 43" monitor, i wouldnt say its too big, buy any bigger wouldnt work
>>
>>60885408
at the same resolution, text gets bigger
>>
whats the optimal size so you dont have to move your head when reading left to right??

32 inch is way too wide
>>
>>60885189
isn't 24" very common?
i've been using a 24" monitor for 7 years now
>>
>>60885699
depends on how close you are to the monitor
>>
I have a 43" 4K monitor, it's edging on too big but I like it
>>
>>60885699
Push the monitor back 4 inches.
>>
I use 21" monitors at home and 27" at work.
They're the same resolution but for some reason the 27" screens are more comfortable to work with huge walls of text on.

Do curved monitors get in the way of using a secondary flat screen?

Like it is disorienting to look at the curve and then turn to look at the flat.

Does this software have a name? Asking since I'm writing one from scratch right now.

Just curious what others are using, homebrew or something else. Is it fully automated?
>>
>>60891292
I'm calling it "AntiGravity" and the paper trading variant that I wrote first is called "BitPaper". I wrote mine from scratch as well since using public bots is asking to be ass raped by bot manipulators.
>>
>>60891312
Nice, are you using previously known algorithms/methods or did you roll your own? Mainly curious since I thought I was the only one insane enough to start from total scratch on such a project.
>>
>>60891390
Combination of both. Have prior knowledge from a friend who ran a hedge fund based on a bot that coincidentally had a very similar algo to the one that I'm using now.
>>
>>60891153
hard to trade eth when all it does is go up :^)

but alright respect, i have a forex algotrader i made that works pretty well, so i know the struggle. good luck!
>>
>>60891400
Ah, very interesting. Mind if I ask your average profit per transaction, assuming you're doing short term trading? Or a couple of your favorite stocks? I figure this is the only time I'll find someone else doing this, so...

I'm getting a second ultrawide soon.

>>60891428
The hedge fund my friend ran and that I helped with traded, shorted, and traded margins exclusively on BTC positions, no real stocks. Average profit is 1% a day in BTC over the last year.
>>
>>60885189
Depends on the resolution VS size.
>>
>>60885189
>is there such a thing as too big of a monitor
Yes, for you.

If you're a small guy a large monitor will fuck your shit up.
>>
32" the biggest monitor for up close, next up need to be 4 feet away at least
>>
>>60886167
42" 4K was too much fore me. For standard Desktop use in a "normal" office configuration I find 27" is roughly the max I can deal with. I might be able to do 32". More than that and I actually have to turn my head (or increase distance to screen).

>Slate
The media, particularly liberal media, tends to conflate new technology because all they understand is size, girth and length of use.
>>
>>60885189
21.5 @ 1080p is actually very nice. I've had 24 inch and 27 inch monitors at that resolution and it felt like shit.
