They will perform better and I can afford them. If new AMD CPUs are released before then I might consider it, though some of the Ryzen launch issues deter me a bit.

Don't worry, X299 will have it's own launch issues, especially with the mess that is Kabylake X. As for the performance, the Intel chips seem to clock a few hundred megahertz higher than the Ryzens but it's not worth paying almost double.
