I don't know. I have a few things that are thinner than the Sansa Clip, but twice as long. I do prefer those devices to be honest, even when I'm outside. They are generally just better all round devices.
There's a point at which too big is a thing though. I know FiiO gets praised here a lot so I'll get shit on for this, but their PMP devices are a bulky mess and (imo) shit unless you're buying their higher end. But again, the X5 isn't something I'd want in my pocket, it's a house brick.
