I said fuck it and am sitting cozy in a win 7 VM using Access 2010 with no issues.
Why? Why does Libreoffice suck so hard that I have to put Microsoft cock back in my mouth after 5 years to accomplish something this trivial? Kexi fucking sucks too.

Access is shit as well, get a real DB.

Found your problem.

I was thinking of using mariadb if access didn't work well in the VM, so I guess that is still on the table if I run into access issues.

>Why does Libreoffice suck so hard
Because it's a "modern" FOSS project which puts its biggest emphasis on pushing out new features instead of maintaining existing ones.
>need a word processor
>Have to download suite including math formulas programme
>using csv for anything other than "small" databases

Which is why you should use Apache OpenOffice instead.
>>60879877
You can choose what to install at installation time brainiac.
>>60879894
You can't
The only choice is stable or new

Learn python you dumb shit.

It's not like doing nothing == maintaining stuff.
AOO is dead, get over it. Two commits per year just to spite that statement like an edgy faggot proves nothing.

I found a snippet I've used in the distant past to load a fairly large CSV into an MSSQL database. postgres probably isn't a million miles away. There are CLI projects out there to run SQL against CSVs but I never bookmarked them because a 1GB CSV is retarded.bulk insert table_name
from 'D:\source.csv' --drive is relative to the SQL install, i.e. machine where SQL lives
with (fieldterminator = ',', rowterminator = '\n')
go

Bullshit. You can specify to only install writer. stable and fresh are meta-packages.
>>60879488
Access is literally SQL server with a different interface nowadays.

He is talking about download.
You are talking about install.
Yes yiu can choose to only install certain things but you still need to download all of it. Which is how it fucking should be desu, imagine downloading 8 separate installers to install libre office. Fuck that shit.
The only reason why you'd ever use Libreoffice is bc you're a NEET piece of shit. At every job I've had, I never had to pay for Office and it just works as it should. No need to be an edgy hipster, bro.
