Fuck off retard.
Now a covert cat thread
Post cats
>>60876596
Because there is barely any documentation so only wizards can actually have fun with it.
Bump
>>60876681
>barely any documentation
Right up /g/'s alley then.
Bumping for more
>>60876596
it's made by spics. that only stops me.
>>60876596
It's looks difficult
>>60876596
>reinvents several wheels
>including the package repo wheel, meaning there'a a great risk some package you want won't be available
>no distinct advantages over other distros
gee I wonder why nobody cares
>>60876750
What?
>>60876786
Its a systemd free arch
how's its package manager and maintainers?
>>60876920
Sounds like it's shit then.
>>60876596
if you are going to pull the plug on sytemd go devuan or if you are felling lucky punk .... slackware
devuan + cinnamon on my MBA is my daily driver... testing alien bobs live kde plamsa slackware build because BOB
>>60876922
Everything seems to be decently maintained and rather up to date
>>60876978
yeah I'm not sold
It seems so amateurish, even worse than Arch
>>60876983
>It seems so amateurish
Because it is amateur by definition. This isn't a bad thing.
>Even worse than Arch
That's not possible.
Why don't you go play with it in a VM? If you have time to post in this thread, you have time to do that.
>>60876596
Is it significantly better than Apartheid Linux?
I like that they have musl libc builds, I kinda want to get a mega shitbox and try it
A lot of people know about it, but why use it if there are better options?
There are barely any packages on it.
>>60876596
I use void, it has all of the packages i need. It's also the fastest booting distro i've ever used, probably because of runit.
i tried it for a week or so, but the repos would go down for a few nights here and there. maybe it was just for those nights, but that left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.
>>60876596
>No systemd
Nice
>>60876922
Its shit, has about 50 packages and they are all dated. Also no way to install anything outside of xbps. Its an extremely obscure hipster garbage distro
Why does both this and alpinelinux exist? They are so similar
>>60877340
>Has almost no packages
>It's called Void Linux
>>60876750
I can't believe I didn't know about this. I just spend the last hour from reading your post installing another distro.
>>60877344
Alpine is more for servers (esp. Docker) and embedded
Void is more for desktop, similar to Arch
>>60877017
>Why don't you go play with it in a VM? If you have time to post in this thread, you have time to do that.
you are right
I should be less condescending
sorry
>>60876596
no man's land between arch and manjaro. install gentoo
