Was this a good purchase, /g/?
I'd say that I hope you get cancer but that card ought to give you it so no need to hope :-)
probably not
mid-high tier cards for life
you may not be the best of the best but it's easier on your wallet so you are less hesitant to upgrade to the next mid-high tier card that is probably about on par with the last top tier card
i.e.: 980ti was top tier, then 1070 a mid-high tier card surpassed it for about half what it cost after a year

Fuck you my card will be /comfy/ with the 2050MHz default core clock

>nearly $800 for 1080ti
You could've gotten a generic 1080ti and it would save you ~$150. Difference being ~1-2 fps.

And 10°c degrees hotter
>>60876475
Delusion is strong in this one. Both standard/FE and Extreme AMP reach same 80 degrees C on load.
At best it would be a marginal 2-3 c difference.
>>60876175
Fuck yeah man, Zotac AMP! cooling is the shit, my 1070 @ 2.1 Ghz never exceeds 60'C while being less noisy than 120mm silent case fans
>>60876716
Just to put that in perspective. 1080ti can draw upwards of 300w of power in intense scenarios. While averaging around 250w.
1070 meanwhile averages around 170w and peaks around 200w
>>60876175
How retarded can you be to pay $60 for shipping? That thing weighs like 6 lbs max.
>>60876175
>$800 for a manchild toy
enjoy that overwatch lmao
>>60877378
Are we talking stock power consumption for those cards?
>>60877393
USA -> AUS
>>60878697
Damn, AUS$ has a better exchange than CA$ with the USD..
A 1080ti up here is pushing a grand.
>>60878799
All the prices in the invoice are in USD, a Ti here starts at like $1100 and goes up to $1400 in AUD
>>60876175
My entire PC costs ad much as this gpu. Holy hell.

It can mine roughly 6-8 dollars a day, so you could recoup your costs in about 4 months of nearly 24/7 mining. Setting the power limit to 60% to increase efficiency is helpful especially if you focus on something like Zcash.
