Do you miss it?
Maintaining VB6 applications is my daily job so no
The weak typing and the fact that most VB programmers are bad at programming leds to terrible code
This and Batch shell scripting was my first experience with programming. A lot of organisations and banks etc still need VB6 for their Microshit Office macros so I've heard.

Have some shit that only compiles with visual basic 97 or 99 or some shit, cant remember which.
That thing wasnt even readily available. I found like 1 single sketchy as fuck torrent for it that seems to work but is probably botnet backdoored.
overall, I like how straight forward it is.
But really, some of the stuff you have to do just to set up a project and compile it is bullshit. Alot of the menu stuff doesn't even work right.

VB6 vs VB.NET
Discuss
>>60854868
I don't know why they bothered with VB.NET. They should have just had C#.
>>60854885
Visual C# is a thing, if you insist.
>ywn program in VB6 again.
Feels bitter-sweet as fuck.

VB6 was my first foray into programming. AOL progz were pretty badass until you had to explain to your parents that they have to call AOL to get the internet back for the third time.
