>anyone giving a shit about these chips when the motherboard alone cost more than people are willing to spend on CPUs
Same for for threadripper, nobody's buying $300 motherboards.

You're right.
People who buy HEDT and workstation chips buy $500 motherboards.

>$500 mobo
Might as well go for the next step and get a supermicro server motherboard

Why do all of those have Yes in the delidding column when it's already been proven that delidding does jack shit on newer Intel CPUs? They still overclock like shit even if you take it off.
>>60852999
temps, you mong.
You're looking at 20C+ difference, not that deliding expensive shit is smart or should be even a fucking thing.
But hey, penny pinchers, fucking kikes

Those chips aren't meant for people who cannot buy $300 motherboards.

Temps mostly. I've just recently did a delid on my 3770k since I have no more warantey anyway and not only did the average core temperature drop by around 20C, I can now easily run it a 4.5 Ghz.

Why are there two of this thread up now?
Listen, AMD is killing Intel, don't act all confused and pretend people don't buy nice PCs. I'm not sure what your point is here, but I know you're an Intel employee who is worried as fuck.

>it's already been proven that delidding does jack shit on newer Intel CPUs
It must be opposite day.
