Since my laptop updated itself a month or so ago, it has been going to sleep immediately upon reaching 10% charge instead of warning me first. It doesn't always do this, but enough for it to be annoying.

Check your power settings.
Mine kept flipping to balanced and undoing my settings.

Mine's on balanced. I checked the advanced settings and it says that it wont take any action when it reaches 10%, it only hibernates when it reaches 5%.
Weird stuff.

Run it normally and watch the voltage drop.
It may simply go too fast due to a bad/uncalibrated battery.

Remove AC like it had one bit increase.

Try taking it out, and hold the power button to 15. Put it back in.
Take it out without powering on.
Repeat 5 times.

Finally plug in ac and turn on
