Labour voted for the Snooper's Charter and I think the Digital Economy Act (i.e. the porn-blocking bill) as well.
Corbyn doesn't give a shit about digital rights and is pretty lukewarm about democracy and human rights in general if they get in the way of his socialist agenda, and I say this as someone sympathetic to his socialist agenda.
And thanks to England's first-past-the-post voting system, voting for neither of the Tories or Labour is basically throwing your vote away at best or helping the party you dislike more at worst.
>tl;dr England and its appendages (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) are truly, irreparably fucked

Is there any chance of the DUP negotiating for digital rights and shit? From what I've read they're so desperate for daddy britain to notice them I'm worried they're gonna join the Torries without even bothering to ask for anything in return.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahhhahaahahahahahahahaah oh sweet jesus fuck no. Christ on a bike, what a daft proposition.
They're a band of virulently homophobic, Christian fundamentalist, climate change-denying, creationist terrorists (not an exaggeration, they really are all of those things). They're absolutely guaranteed to be backwards on any science and technology policy conceivable.
