And don't forget 64GBs quad channel of DDR3 at two dollars per gig ECC memory on a cheap ass supermicro board that will guaranteed future proof your power build.

The issues of xeon builds is motherboard support. Yes 2nd hand processors are cheap as fuck but good luck making a good build unless you have that "one" motherboard that is discontinued. I looked at that prospect some time ago and realized it's only cost effective if you have the right parts.
