Sorry for late reply.
You guys have a review guide over it?

I mean.... just read the configuration files. They literally tell you exactly what to do for almost every setting.
Are you trying to implement a new nails setup or fixing an existing one?

I'm having problems not having host respond from the nagios ping request host to the host.cfg file.
The host i add aren't showing up. I try adding a router host and it would not show up and I'm typing in the right config text.
I can't implement NRPE effectively. Is it easier to Check By SSH?
>>60827211
Pretty much.
>>60827253
Cool thanks. On some of our work clusters I'm replacing Zabbox with Nagios but it's been a process so far. NRPE is hot garbage if you don't install the agent correctly, and on our RHEL servers the packages break all the check_nrpe binaries. It's been a fun week.
Just use nconf
>>60827072
Nagios picks new hosts up only on startup
>>60824694
Nagios is fucking garbage that generates keys compile time. Enjoy your subpar monitoring tool that intoduces a fuckton of "unintentional" backdoors. The people behind nagios are fucking morons.
>>60827211
just use icmp or snmp
>>60828080
>backdoors
>>60828080
Calm down buddy. Don't have to go ape shit over a program.
>>60824694
I mostly just use check_mk which is based on it.
