I'm a young poorfag looking to get into 3d art as a career. I downloaded some 3D software but my current laptop is so shit it won't even install on it.
Is there a way I can get a cheap 64bit laptop with the following specs
>Windows (running on Intel or AMD 64-bit CPU with SSE3 support)
> 4 GB RAM (8 GB or more recommended)
> OpenGL graphics card supporting OpenGL 4.1 (dedicated GPU recommended)
amyone?
install gentoo XD

What budget are we talking about?

Thinkpad
laptop is always more expensive for the same specs
for 3D, buy a tower
invest in RAM, 8GB is the bare minimum
and ask specialists, maybe on /gd/, because 3D building doesn't need the same graphic processors as 3D games
I heard you need some 16 core stuff to be professional

Maybe ask on /3/ rather than /gd/

im pretty sure you're going to get fucked on this. anything budget for 3d work is going to suck. Unless you're doing low polys for game development or something. I would go to what ever software i use and check their hardware recommendations and go from there. I'm pretty sure you will end up with a thinkPad, HP ProBook or Dell
how poor are we talking? I have an AMD 64-bit with 8 GB of RAM. It's an HP laptop, and only cost me $400.
