Is it worth going to Win2016 Server from 2012 R2? I have a HP MicroServer that's been running solid for years. Also have a free license (inb4 hurr durr you bootleg)....also can I remotely update the OS? I don't have a VGA monitor to connect it to since it's been headless for years and I just RDP into it.
Not really, no, unless you really want to go ham with Hyper-V

Don't even think this little server can handle that.
Should I just leave it as is? It's mostly for t0rrenting remotely and acting as an SMB server and for plex.

I'd just leave it. If you were running 2008 I'd say upgrade but 2012 R2 is still legit.
