Windows 7 looks better.

You're wrong but whatever
>>60815449
It doesn't
>>60815449
No, Vista looks better
>>60815449
Agreed.
Vista is way too much like a graphics/design students concept work.
>>60815354
Windows 8 had by far the best looking composited windows desktop theme.
Shame about the rest of the OS.

Vista looks half Aero half XP Luna. 7 is Aero at its finest.
8.1 > 10 > 7 > Vista > 8 > XP
windows vista is the withe man's Os

last stand of implicit white identity
>>60815745
Agreed. I wish it was still supported, I'd be glad to unironically use it.

>8 pixel window border
That shit was hideous
>>60815803
It was actually great though. Windows Vista/7 only looked good if you used blue/greyish glass color.
Windows 8's theme worked great with any color - you could make fit your wallpaper perfectly, and 8.1 allowed you to set an independent background color as well that went well with it.
Windows 10 is by far the worst though, with its monochromatic color scheme that only looks good in blue, overuse of white everywhere and no borders anywhere ever.

You sound like you need to own a mac. Who the fuck cares about color combinations? Set it to black and forget it

>Windows Vista/7 only looked good if you used blue/greyish glass color.
true for Vista because it had a 1px wide blue line around active windows.
Windows 7 doesn't have that and works well with any pretty much any glass color.

Macs allow almost no desktop theme customization, and they only skate by on the fact that their greyscale theme looks good with everything. It's better looking and less gaudy than Aero Glass, but still kinda meh, and I honestly preferred the older, less flat look of Leopard/Snow Leopard to Yosemite and up.
At least you can make the top menu white text on black background - but of course some old apps like Back In Time 3 somehow ignore it.

Fags

oh look, every GNUstep application all on one screen, how fascinating.

I didn't even install any additional apps
There's a handful. People should use the Cocoa API and make some new GUIs. It's better than GTK because it's all in C and implements SmallTalk so it's efficient. http://windowmaker.org/links.php
