/g/ should have a mobile app developer general desu.
I'm also interested in Xamarin because C# and by proxy VS is the standard at my job.

Pros: C#
Cons: Xamarin for Visual Studio is buggy as fuck/incomplete. I unfortunately chose it to make an Android app and it was awful. The designer view sometimes fails to load, it doesn't display things like custom controls most of the time, no XML autocomplete (have fun looking at the docs every 10 seconds to see what properties you can use or using the buggy-ass designer) trying to make themes derived from appcompat or w/e was apparently impossible, occasionally your build will fail with something like 'java returned -1' and then you have to clean the solution, restart visual studio and build again.
0/10 would not recommend, just use the official Android Studio & Java or w/e and you'l have a much better time. For Apple I dunno.
