I just downloaded IDLE for python, but I can't make multiple lines of code. If I want to do two lines of print "Hello World" I can't, when I press enter for a new line of code it automatically starts the 1 line of code. Is there some sort of command to make more lines of code?

(using debian linux)
install Gentoo

anon you're hurting my feelings :^(
Isn't it shift+enter?

Almost works, it adds a new line but executes the 1st line.

that's weird. I don't remember IDLE being that garbage. Is there a reason you don't just make a file for your multiline stuff?

All you need is Vim + builtin debuggers like cProfile for performance, and pdb for interactive debugging.
isnt that the point of an interactive shell? why would you not want to execute the line, there are text editors for that usecase

Atom + Hydrogen doesn't have this problem.
