DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING -- that is what an EMP blast of sufficient power from a nuclear weapon or from the FUCKING SUN will do. All files stored on magnetic media: hard disk drives, solid state drives, magnetic tapes, floppies -- will all be lost. Even after recovery of electrical infrastructure software used to recover data may be lost; or, if the software survives, it will not really work at recovering data from fried magnetic media. All websites are just files and folders stored on magnetic media; imagine the world where all websites are permanently deleted: not very fun.

However, optical media will be totally unharmed. OPTICAL MEDIA = MASTER RACE.

Data loss would be the least of your worries here. 90% of those affected would starve to death or be killed due to lawlessness.
>>
So I guess I should print all of my photos

I've been considering that idea for my script but unfortunately I have to go with something less extreme that humanity can recover from fairy quickly. A great idea for an apocalypse though!

>An EMP will destroy all data.
Yeah no shit /pol/

Solid State isn't magnetic

And for that matter, the electromagnetic pulse isn't actually magnetic either
>>
It's ok i have all of Naruto saved on CD's!

You don't seem to know how EMP works. It's fine, ignorance is the common lately. I suggest you to inform yourself with proper documentation instead.
>>

Do it; print all you images. Then post a photo of the papers here.
>>
>>60810537
I see you're the last person still using optical media for storage, trying to justify your actions.
