Might as well ask this in a separate thread but what monitor stands are recommended here? Currently have a 27" monitor as my main and a 24" i use vertically. Getting one of those ikea countertops to use as a desk and seeing those /bst/ threads has me worried about sag if i were to place the monitor arm right in the middle of it's length. What are your guy's throughs if i buy seperate single arms and place them at the sides of the desk? Was thinking of getting Ergotron's (pic relate) or their single arm version, thoughts?

I have a Ergotron LX HD for a 40" 4K TV and I love it. Its the best arm i've ever used and a lot better than the 3M arms I used to have.

Fuck if I know about that. I have mine mounted to a 1 1/4" thick MDF desktop and it is fine.

This looks exactly like the amazon basic ones. Which I believe I read were actually them just buying the ergotron's and labeling as amazon. So you might save money by getting those.
If that's the case, then it's the one I have, and they are very good. 27 and 24 vertical *should* be fine, but be sure to give yourself space from the wall. They stick out a bit even with just my two 24's.

yeah this countertop is 1 1/2" particleboard with a 1/8" solid oak, i did buy an extra leg to place in the center though but wasn't sure if i should go through with mounting it if people haven't had that much issue, went with the 74 incher.

i know, which is why i'm asking around, there's so many off-brands on amazon (which is where i'm gonna order it from) that it's hard to know which ones are actually worthwhile.
I'm interested too, bump

i dont remember where i saw it but it was confirmed that amazon sourced the ery same manufacturer that ergotron uses the only difference is that amazon doesnt paint the parts silver.

shit if that can be confirmed that'd be pretty sweet, i know some of the amazonbasic stuff can be pretty decent quality despite their price.

now that you mention it they do look quite similar, then again they are monitor stands.
I have one of these.
Aavara dual stand.
No clamps.
One monitor (23 inch) is horizontal, one (21 inch) vertical.
Served me well for at least 7 years.

>tfw no arm for a 40" tv that has a 5' double hinged pullout from the wall ability + >=180 degrees rotation + tilt

Get the solid wood countertop. These days that's the "Hammarp."

Get on my level /g/entoomen.

Sadly i purchased the Karlby a while back, just waiting for it to get delivered, should have done a bit more research but haven't heard of any major issues with this one honestly.

isn't that just basically a stand and not an arm since it isn't adjustable? nice, nonetheless.
I'll probably nab that amazon basic dual stand monitor, appreciate your guy's input.
