So, I think this is a kernel panic. Or, maybe the OS is corrupted. Or maybe the hard drive died (not likely this, it's quiet as can be).
Can anyone lend a hand? It gets to about 75% of the way through loading the OS when it dumps that.

Most of the junk I see involves resetting the pmc and pram, which made it go from turning off to showing a stop sign little circle thing. I'm thinking hard drive now, actually.

Before you replace the drive test it with something else ( desktop with Linux). Many times on that model macbook it's the sata cable that fails rather than the drive.
