That HDR on the left is dumb as fuck. Background should always have less contrast than foreground.

unsurprising coming from nvidia, but HDR support being standardised is a welcome change imo.
if it doesn't do anything but result in wider colour gamuts on low-mid spec monitors in the future, it's well worth it - no more 65% RGB colour space shit shows.

I only have 3 HDR games - Forza Horizon 3, Resident Evil 7, Gear of War 4.

They all benefit tremendously and look gorgeous. Night driving in Forza Horizon 3 and the firefights in Gears of War 4 are on a whole different level of aesthetic pleasure.

At least watch the video, in some case HDR mutes colours instead. You can't achieve that by just upping the contrast.

The thing that always fires up my neurons is how they claim hdr has such a wider contrast and color range that sdr isn't capable of reproducing, yet se can see the difference comparisons on any regular sdr screens. I mean it's not like everytime it's recorded on the next screen the colors get more and more washed out, there is a point where a screen is able to reproduce 100% of the captured colors
