Help me. I don't know what the fuck to do here. I have the sapphire 380x nitro and it's worked fine for months. But recently it's been overheating and crashing on idle. And I mean idle.
If i leave it alone and touch nothing, the temperature will begin to ramp up pretty quickly and the GPU will crash and restart. My screen will freeze for a few seconds, turn black briefly and go back to normal. And if I check in the settings, some stuff gets reset. Power efficiency for example always gets turned off. If I move the mouse before the GPU gets hot enough to crash, the heat goes back down. Fan speed has nothing to do with it either. The heat will just go down once I start moving again.
It happens no matter what settings are set or what programs are on or not. And I don't mess with my GPU at all so it wasn't any settings fiddling that did it.
What the fuck do I do?

I don't know what that is but if it's dependent on the internet, then it's not it because it happens even if the internet is not connected.

380x isnt the same as hawaii
that would be 390
the 380/x is gcn 1.3, hawaii is gcn 1.2
I should mention the temps I guess. It goes up to like 175f before crashing, which I don't think is as bad as people who have legitimate issues with overheating.
Am I gonna have to get a 480 or something?
