Hello /g/, I have a question; should I buy a used Thinkpad t410 or a used Acer Chromebook CB3? They are about the same price, 130 CAD. Leaning towards the Chromebook here due to the increased battery life, portability and it being lightweight, but the Thinkpad is much more rugged and parts are easier to come by. Need it for school work, web browsing, and perhaps YouTube viewing.

Pick Chromebook. It's a far superior choice in your case, plus never buy a PC which comes with (((Microsoft))) Winshit.

I'd get the Chromebook and install Crouton.
If I do go with the Chromebook, would I be able to swap out the SSD for one with a higher capacity?

Depends on which one you get. If it's some kind of core based processor, you stand a good chance. If it is Atom or ARM derived, you're stuck with eMMC. Most of the time there is SD card support though.

I'm not a pedophile or a terrorist so not worried. Besides, how is windows 10 any different?
