All of a sudden a lot of new packages for interacting with your disks have been added...
>libblockdev
>libbytesize
>dmraid
but most notably...
>volume_key
>A library for manipulating storage volume encryption keys and storing them separately from volumes to handle forgotten passphrases
>storing them separately from volumes to handle forgotten passphrases
>forgotten passphrases
I might be wrong but the only way to handle a forgotten passphrase is to have some sort of backdoor built in because with real encryption you shouldn't be able to recover the encrypted data if you forget the passphrase
Good thing only 20 people in the whole world use Arch linux.
