What are some good places to work, /g/?
Everybody seems to want to go to Silicoln Valley or Seattle, but I hear they work you like slaves and the cost of living is extreme.
Considered working at my country's cyber security department, but I didn't pass top secret security screening.
Considered applying for lol videogames development, but I don't have experience in that area and most of my favorite studios are in shit countries like Turkey or Sweden or probably have absurdly high standards for new recruits due to massive popularity.
I'm about to finish my PhD in computer security and privacy, but the idea of doing any job that requires you to teach, even part time, is a nightmare to me.

So why the hell aren't you trying to work in the security branch of some bigass company?
Security is the biggest field in terms of available jobs, because you can't outsource your nation's security to pajeets and chinks.

More theoretical than practical.
Examining systems and building attacks, not setting up firewalls and monitoring networks.
I could probably do pen testing in a pinch, but I'd need a few months to get acquainted with the process and tools.
Best bet is working in a security design department at a company like Microsoft

It seems BA just did that. Not that it was a terribly clever move but they did outsource everything relating to IT. Guess where to.
