What's this for? immersion breaker for money?
is it only for the cables? easily fixable with a cable bungee thing for the VR.

VR itself is a gimmick. Just avoid the whole thing.

Now augmented reality. That's actually nice. Got to demo a hololens. I could see the tech being really useful in ten years or so.

Not for consumer I think, probably for a VR lounge or some other similar business.
I've been looking to get a Vive but I can't justify $800 for a few decent at best games.
If they would ever put that fucking thing on sale I'd probably buy it, but in the entire year and a quarter it's been out, the Jews have only marked it down for a single day one time.

It's the new back pain simulator. Except it's not a simulation.
>>60782069
But I cant just justify it for anyone. the cable 'bungee' from IKEA is really many times better and you wont have a big hunk of metal and electronics on your back, heating up too.

Well that's a different argument altogether there.
While you may have a point, given its price.
>>60782071
seriously what's so expense about a gyroscope(?) and two monitors with magnifying lenses in a plastic box and a pair of motion sensors.
I don't get it.
>>60782050
considering you can do it with a normal phone and a $25 headset I think it's good for a lark
>>60781986
I'd guess a some sort of laser tag augmented reality park
>>60782263
could only imagine how many sensors that would need. haha
>>60781986
Vr is a meme
Do they really expect you to pay the price oh a high end powerful PC for some phone screens and sensors?

It also has targeted vibrations to simulate getting hit.
Think VR laser tag.
