Anyway, since EM Wave Change is impossible, let's get back into topic.

We already have a good PET equivalent, aka smartphones, however, we lack a proper NetNavi replacement, the best thing we have right now are botnet Assistants such Google Assistant, Siri, Alexia, etc. For a proper interactive NetNavi, we would need a human-like AI, which will take a few decades at best. Then someone would need to implement that AI into a NetNavi-alike and make them fight with a Battle Chip-alike. It won't be a perfect copy, but it'll be close enough.

I came up with an idea previous that may work but I have no idea how to program such a thing.
Think of the Sims, add in a voice recognition, now make it for Android and iPhones. I think it could work but EA and Capcom would have to work together, and I can't see that happening. I had an idea about "free will" and how it could do it's own thing if it wanted too. Give it some emotions and so on. I don't see why it's not possible. As for battling, I think that would be interesting to pull off. As for the 2 companies, they could make a killing off of microtransactions. Either earn them or buy them. Hell, make events with them and at some point even make an entire device just like a PET.
