Looks like we're getting yet another quad core instead of Coffee Lake S 6 cores. It's true, Intel really can't do anything but Release Skylake Again.
>>
Coffelake is Skylake
>>
>>60767737
Was supposed to be 6 cores.
>>
>>60767853
But it's still Skylake.
>>
Every lake is Skylake. Intel hit a brick wall. They will never amount to anything more in our lifetimes.
>>
>>60767907
Wait for 2021, Itanium 2.0 will save us.

Can't escape the lake. It's like Intel is there with Jason.

also Cascade Lake in late 2018, again 14nm

>59% performance improvement
This is like "FTC should be notified" levels of bullshit.
>>
>>60769680
They're basically saying in memory workloads run quicker because it's using xpoint ssds as RAM. Probably is a workload running off a cold boot so xpoint has the advantage of it already being in RAM.

Itanium was Intel trying to charge $$$$ for 64bit CPUs

Then AMD went "AMD64 lol it just werks."

This is the same shit. Intel wants $$$$ for more than 4 cores despite having consumer quad cores for a decade.

Now AMD is going "16 cores lol it just werks" and Intel's business model makes them look like shittards again.
>>
>>60769744
Optane is such a niche product, though. This is just scummy Intel advertising as usual, along with the 30% performance increase in sysmark vs an old-ass not even top of the line i5.
>>
>>60770436
Exactly. They want the best case scenario, they'll never directly lie or fudge shit, but manipulation of test cases is a ok

>Now AMD is going "16 cores lol it just werks"

I want to believe this was actually said by Lisa Su.

Let's wait a minute here, optane has potential.
If it works the way it seems it's going to work, if you don't have a lot of RAM use but you need to work with old large data set, this will likely be cheaper in the long run, because at some point 1 TB of optane space is going to cost $300 but 1 TB of RAM is going to cost several thousand.

Optane is also a lot faster and solid states but not at read and write speed if my understanding of the specification and it's a real world uses correct.

The only thing that's bad about optane right now is that it's limited to Intel platforms, is so fucking small you can only use the cash drive right now, and his retarded layover price for what you get. In time it could easily become a new standard, but were talking 3 to 4 years out at least. In that time Intel is going to take a hammering from Samsung and in the same timeframe from other manufacturers who gets licensing rights to something that surpasses Samsung's 3-D stacking in chips.

There's a chance that nand could be brought up to the level of optane before optane reaches the same level. Intel's have this in the oven for so goddamn long they just released it as his right now and that's the main issue.

Buy AMD nigs. Stop supporting the Jew.

Imagine your biggest competitor that's 10 times the size of you and can shit yearly R&D budgets that surpass your entire company's net worth, and you just bring out a processor that beats the fuck out of them until they piss blood.

No she didn't have a smug face, the moment that she realized what she had in her hands she probably went back to her office pulled out the biggest still though she hasn't just cranked the bitch up to 11 and wrote it the rest of the day, then went to the new horizon press conference the following week.
>>
>>60771239
She actually cut a lot of weight during that era, she was hueg before AMD
>>
>>60772407
Right now the biggest issue for Optane is that it's read/write cycles suck. Nobody wants to replace that shit more often than SSDs. Especially at those prices.
