The Oneplus 5 definitely won't work with Verizon, right? I'm looking to upgrade to the biggest, best phone on the market. I currently have a note 4. Thanks for any opinions/answers.

Can't tell until the specs are out, but it almost certainly won't have any CDMA support so if it works on Verizon it'll be LTE-only

If I don't do anything cpu nor gpu intensive on my phone, how would the SoC difference combined with screen res between 4x 3gb and 4 prime work out? Of course I have read reviews that put the prime on top regarding battery, but those lacking bands are a bit concerning..
Is there any chance of a SD660 equipped 5" redmi (or other sub-$230 xiaomi from legitimate greymarket dealers) that's actually available before the next year?

>>

Depends a lot on where you live i guess, but here (Brazil) i was thinking of the The Lenovo k6 Plus (i believe it's known as K6 Power else where) and the 5.2" Zenfone 3, K6 has a 4000mAh battery and is really cheap (no Gorilla Glass), Zen3 has rather good camera, they all have similar hardware otherwise, G5 Plus seems to fall somewhere in the middle in terms of camera and battery, so unless something changes i should going for it in the next few days.

Seriosuly though, the OnePlus phones are already very good considering its cost. Any cheaper and you might as well go for a budget phone like the Redmi phones.

The fact that it's a pretty deprecated device and that it had heating problems. Unlike the similar LG G2, the Nexus 4 had issues with how heat is taken off the CPU. Search for that. Then there's the fact that it's still barely supported by the developer community. If you want to use it with say Google Maps it would probably be pretty slow and clunky. I am not sure about its GPS capabilities. Even so, it's up to you to decide.

What are the best smartphones right now then? SD 835 is almost a must, because I will be playing a few games on it, and those few games lagging would enrage me. Picture quality, browsing speed and audio quality are very important too.

Hopefully, his insurance will give me back my 350€.

I really liked the form factor of the z5c.
So a 4.6" screen is not a problem (and it doesn't have to be FHD).
Storage was okay, even if I wouldn't mind having 64 GB.

The battery wasn't that good (3~4h SoT) and it was overheating.

Do you have recommendations for a compact phone at this price?
(I won't buy it again because of the overheat and some lag)

Serious question here. I realize that I have an addiction to sitting by my PC. Like, I spend 100% of my freetime getting back to my PC as fast as I can, and it's the only thing I know aside from my job.

Aside from videogames (though I know there are a few decent phone games), what can a PC do that a smartphone can't, and vice versa?

Yes I'm desperate to find myself an excuse to go outside with a smartphone and do what I do anyway. I probably have autism.

>>
>>60781660
No money to be made, and even if there was american companies wouldn't let us. We don't make much selling android phones, and we make almost nothing selling ishit, the big bucks in carrier support come from contracts with those companies, we do their dirty work and their advertising for them, and they fight like cats and dogs for it. If we were to do the same for chinese competitors that undercut them so drastically, they'd pull support so fast our asses would fall off, and if the new iphone doesn't work on Verizon we go out of business.

>>60781678
Our unlimited plan was intended to work differently than other companies. ATT throttles you down to 500KBs after a limit, we give you 22 gbs before you can POTENTIALLY see speeds down to 3G minimum, if you were on an overloaded tower, basically priority between prepaid and postpaid. WIth the rebirth of unlimited we started selling our hotspots again, and corporate pushed for selling them as internet replacements. "Hey replace your cable internet bill with a $20 bill for this hotspot! Unlimited data lol!"
After a month they changed the system, and now our hotspot jetpacks have a limit of 10gb, and instead of priority lists it immediately dumps you to 3G speeds. The LOW end of 3G speeds, which can range from 5MBs at the high end to, you guessed it, 0.5 MBs at the low end. You can't even watch youtube on those speeds. We've had tens of thousands of attempted returns, but we pull return eligibility after 14 days. It's bad, but won't sink us. Managed to keep it relatively quiet.

Firstly fuck you for shit taste.
Secondly there will never be 7s, this year is the first time Samsung overtook Apple in numbered devices with the S8. Apple takes marketing pretty seriously, so there's not a chance in hell they'd release a 7s when 7 is less than 8.
Kind of like how the second Xbox was called the 360 instead of Xbox2, because it was compared against the PS3 so 360 sounds better.
A lot of people are saying they're going to call it the 8, but I don't think that's right either. We're all guessing it's going to be called the 10, it will give them some more breathing room from the galaxy, and it's also the 10th anniversary of the iphone so they can play it off that way.

On Verizon. Moto X Pure unlocked.

I'm absolutely sick of this thing due to Nougat STILL not being out. They're saying "the end of June or early July" now, but that was after they pushed it back at least 2 or 3 times the past few months. Fuck Lenovorola.

Is this an isolated incident for them or do they have a track record? Am I right for never wanting to buy a Moto phone again.

Is there any reason today for people to buy the top of line $800 phones? I mean, it's not like there are any popular phone applications that require the utmost high specs, I guess except maybe VR? My mother just bought a $150 mid/low end phone and she tells me she can't really tell the difference between that and her other work phone which is very high end. For 99% of people I imagine it's the same
>>
What phone should I get? These are my two must have requirements:
>removable, easy to replace battery
>unlockable/unlocked bootloader/root, and a decent aosp ROM available (I use lineageOS right now so any device with lineage is fine).
These are literally my only requirements. I have a nexus 6 right now, which is great, but the battery is getting horribly bad and I can't be bothered to replace it.
I don't really care about performance, or camera, or battery life, as long as they're all usable. 1080p screen preferred, 720p will do, and I don't want or need 1440p or 4k. Also, it needs to work on Australian carriers (Telstra). Budget isn't really a concern, but I don't need a top of the line SOC or camera or amazing display.
I also don't care about screen size. My nexus 6 is definitely the largest I could tolerate, and I can use something as small as a nexus 5x comfortably.

no, to be honest senpai when you get it just root it right away.
>>
>>60791664
The ads can be removed but you cannot unlock the bootloader of the Amazon prime version or root it.
>>
>>60791817
i removed ads by installing Lineage OS on the g4. maybe they got good. they even had a website to unlock the bootloader.
>>
>>60791854
To unlock the bootloader you have to ask for a code on Motorola's website. What happened is that the code was only supposed to be given to the regular, non-Amazon prime version of the phone but by mistake they were giving the code to all versions of the phone. So for a while you could unlock the bootloader even on the Amazon prime version of the G4 (and G4 Play IIRC). But that has been fixed, so currently the bootloader on any of the Amazon Prime versions cannot be unlocked, so root isnt possible either.

However the ads can still be removed as the method for that doesn't require an unlocked bootloader or root.

Do I have a good reason to upgrade from my Note 4, really?
I feel like it's "time to", because I've had the same one for 3 years. I use it for anything between 0-10 hours a day, any day. I browse internet and listen to music mostly, sometimes I watch an episode of a series or play a game like Bloons TD5.
Its GPS has stopped working so I can no longer play PoGo which I really enjoyed last year. Both Bloons TD5 (at later waves, 80+, mostly at or after endgame in infinite mode) and PoGo run noticably choppy and laggy, and I remember being jelly of my bro running PoGo with no fps drops or latency anywhere on his iShit 6.

It's just, for what I do with it, does it justify getting something like a OP5 (provided it turns out to be good)? I have a job and no money problems, but I'm still totally jewish when it comes to spending. I'm just trying to actually justify getting a new phone when my old still works okay.

So my LG G4 crapped out and i'm using a shitty motorola from 4 years ago, contract runs out in 10 days. If my requirements are:
>great camera
>large screen
>fast
>headphone jack
>good battery life and/or quickcharging (also wireless would be nice)
>clean as possible android (no bloat)

Is the OP5 the phone for me? I am particularly bothered about the camera as i have heard that is where companies try and save loads of money. Also not a massive fan of the blatant apple copy design but i can live with that. I was actually super happy with the LG G4's camera so anything above that would be amazing really. Don't really have time to wait for pixel 2 and the likes and would ideally want to get something by the end of the month

Thanks for recommending the G6, /spg/. Great phone, I'm really happy with it.
>>
LG G4 user here, this phone has been alright but I had it replaced recently due to the motherboard dying on me.
Looking into possibly getting another phone.
I'm on T-mobile and so far the options I've found was the LG G6, V20 and ZTE Axon 7.
My requirements
>550 dollar budget at most
>4 GB of ram
>64 on board storage
>Expandable storage
>Good battery life
>USB type-C
Good camera and headphone jack would be nice, pls no chink phones

Thoughts on this?

Thinking about pulling the trigger.

>6 gigglebiggles ram
>some fast chinkshit processor
>two cameras must be better than one
>expandable storage
>dual SIM

Should I do it?
I won't fall for the samshit mayday again.

I honestly really just want a phone with minimum:
3600 maph
decent processor
decent grafics
6 gb ram
decent camera
FullHD
great software
under 450€
lte band 20 and 7 (for europe)

I am really hoping the OP3 gets a 4k battery, a "4k" display and a fairly low price point. I will buy it if it comes below 450 with the battery I am wishing for.

meant op5

What launchers do you guys recommend? I just got mine Le eco le max 2 today and I'd like a nice launcher to go with it
>>
>>60796300
Nova for an all around good launcher.

Lightning if you want stupidly high levels of customization.

If you're serious about it get Nova Launcher Prime

I use Arrow Launcher (inb4 M$ botnet) myself since it has some unique goodies

Even with skinny jeans I can fit a 5.5" phone, though not very comfortably.

The HTC U11 may be a good option. If in burgerland they have some promo codes I think to get it for $600 if you preorder.

I think the only thing close is a OP3T.

What is the point of 6gb ram?

So Samsung is shit now? How come?
I still use my Note 4 and would probably, without further education as to why not, upgrade to an S8 or S8+ if the OP5 doesn't end up at a great price.

What's the best phone to buy for maximum ~150€? I plan to be a Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 generation. Should I buy it or there's a better alternative?

Zuk Z2 for sure, if your budget is really that low.

>>60795889
I'm also on a G4 and torn between the V20 and G6
Which has the better camera?
Also I hate glass phones and that's what's pushing me towards the V20
>>
>>60795933
I think it's one of the worst flagships this year
>camera is okay, though it doesn't come close to the S8/G6/Pixel
>chink software is shit
>design and handling are mediocre
>bezels
>the price is pretty high for a chink flagship

Hi anons, excuse me if I ask something very obvious.

I was waiting for the Le Pro 3 I bought when I started to research the ROMS. LAst time I touched any ROM was for my Jiayu G3C that it lasted me this 4 years, so I didn't know how the topic was. I'm a little bit overwhelmed about the ROM topic, would you mind pointing me in the right direction?

I believe I have to take an AOKP ROM since they're growing strong and seems cool, but I really have no idea. What would you recommend to me? Thanks in advance, guys.
>>
>>60798155
LineageOS, it's the most popular ROM so it gets the most development

I heard only a little about Linneage, but what I heard the most of that little, is that I maybe lost the calls function. Am I wrong?

V20 is great
>>
>>60798108
In my research, the V20 is more multimedia focused phone so it has photo and video going for it over the G6 except for the wide angle camera, thats the only thing the G6 has going for it.
The G6 is better all around besides that.
I'm sort of leaning towards the V20 myself but I want to make sure theres nothing else to consider besides the two.

Requesting purchase advice.
Carrier: Spain, Yoigo.
Budget: 200-350€
Features: I need something with good custom ROM support and android 7.0, or atleast something that can run barebones AOSP and has an SD card slot
Also I value a phone's look and feel
