Meh everyone knows this. They're doing this to see how threadripper performs. So that they can either boost the clocks of cpus for higher performance or gimp them so xeon class stays higher and they don't alienate there own customers.
Also most xeon owners are right now crazy angry. Intel is going to sell their 2697 v4s for a nice 600$ discount and with a new name
