Have you circumcised your CPU yet, /g/?
>>60748016
It's more like removing the bandage covering the already existing circumcision. AMD is uncut.
I own a Zen.

BAD GOY! Filthy unclean heathen!
>>60748043
That guy will also snip your Zen.
>>60748016
Why would I?
I think my 5930k is soldered
>>60748304
Haswell-E is the last good HEDT line from Intel.
>>60748348
Yeah, quite the shame. I'm looking at Zen+ for my next build. I'll probably need more cores by then.
Tired of getting fisted by Intel's greed too. $200 for a quality X99 board really ticked me off. Gatekeeping features behind scratch cards is even worse.
>>60748422
Don't hold your breath for <$200 x399
at least you'll get all the features.
>>60748016
No, I considered it at one point but getting my 4790K from 4.7 to 4.9 or something like that wasn't even worth the hassle, not to mention the risk of damage. Delidding tools didn't exist back then either, it was either a razor blade or a vise and hammer to get the job done.
>>60748016
My 3570k does 4.7 Ghz with the Intel jizz. Not going to bother with it because is will soon be upgrading to ryzen
>>60748422
200 dollars is cheap as dirt for a X99 board. I've had tons of ~100 dollar boards before and my X99 board is easily 2x better than any of those. 2x price for 2x better is fair enough.
The CPUs on the other hand. LGA-2011-3 CPUs are fucking overpriced as shit.
>>60748016
I think i'd rather wait until my cpu is old enough to decide what it wants.
