Miners already bought all the RX580 cards. Try back in 3 months.
>>
>>60747692
shoot is there an alternative
>>
Try not being retarded. Mining is a scam.
>>
>>60747834
how is it a scam?

In the time it takes for your mining rig to make ROI you could have made way more by just by bying some crypto directly
>>
>>60748110
but long term you make more

You'll literally lose money

Just get a job you fucking roody-poo candy-asses.

No, you intelligently play the crypto market to gain from shifting shitcoins.

Mining is busy work for little pay.

Anon.
Just don't.

Even ASIC miners are starting to not return profits at this point, due to the colossal mining operations in china, where these ASICs are produced.

People still mine bitcoin?

I thought the only thing anyone mined anymore is new stuff specifically designed to be unviable to mine with an ASIC.
>>
>>60749328

>designed to be unviable to mine with an ASIC
They're unviable to be mined via ASIC for about 1-2 weeks. Then someone programs an FPGA to crank out hashes like it's fucking nothing, and if the market stays open long enough, ASICs get made.

>People still mine bitcoin?
You...really don't get how cryptocurrency works, do you?
>>
>>60747805
No, Nvidia cards have horrible hash rates. A 580 has a higher hash rate than a GTX 1080.
>>
>>60747683
I mine with R9 290. 28 MH/s and you can get some off Ebay for $200 or less.
>>
>>60747683
do you pay for electricity?
>>
>>60750456
yea but i factored that in already.
>>
>>60747692
In 3 mouths GPU mining won't be very profitable unless the value of eth/etc keep going up. The problem is that eth already have half the market cap of Bitcoin.
>>
>>60751138
Just in time for the market to get absolutely flooded with cheap rx580's and 570's right as AMD launches vega.

>Why buy an $800 GPU when I can get 50% of the performance for $125
