I don't own a Rasp yet but you can do many things: from a "insert your choice" robot to a drone.

The sky is the limit.

So I want to have my Pi turn on when my TV does but the USB doesn't provide enough power. What do?

Was thinking if there's some self powered USB hub that only activates when USB does? Couldn't find any though.

can you play a steam game if you create a raspberry pi cluster?
>>
>>60743589
Those second products have gigabit ethernet and usually better performance. Really makes you think, huh?

Did same with raspi2 as a uni group project, felt pretty good to do something interesting, but in the end, it was still just 1 day work of following tutorials and editing configs

once you get the pi setup with raspbian install your torrent client of choice, preferred headless. set wlan0 to auto and inet to dhcp in /etc/network/interfaces
then add your works credentials to the /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf to autoconnect on boot.
I also added a openvpn client to connect to my main server so i can remote into it and manage from my house since i don't have access to port forwarding.
don't forget an external flash drive, i'm using a 128gb stick, ether added to fstab or automount with usbmount
>>
>>60743987
It doesn't make me think. It's not a master race, it's an untermensch on steroids.
>>
>>60743987
RaspberryPi is a British computer from Cambridge, Orange Pi a Chinese copy. I remind you that we were talking about the master race.
>>
>>60743099
I'm waiting for them to release an updated Rpi 3, which has better power requirements. My current pi1 and pi2 are powered from my pc usb. Can't do that with the 3.

I glanced over the github page and still have no idea what that does.
Otherwise I'm running deluged and smb share too.
>>
>>60744871
It runs Armbian so that's enough support for me.

Also all guides for the pi work with armbian since, the only difference being some small things that anyone with a brain can easily figure.

Wi-Fi sucks though.

Pihole to be honest. Seems like a waste of computing power but that's what it does.

It's not a good media player platform. The SOC is too slow for things like Coalgirls animu rips.

It's a decent emulator board, but then again my PC does it better because it has the power to do things like HLSL.

the orange pis can do both if you use mpv to watch youtube videos instead of the site
