I tend to drop my phones a lot.
My last three phones (ThL W8, ZTE V5, and now my SGS4) have all been replaced because their screen cracked. The ZTE had some chinked dragontail glass + chinese ((""glass"")) screen protectior on it, the SGS4 had REAL GORILLAGLASSMEME on it. The ZTE broke when it "hit the ground too hard". I mean it was intentional. The screen protector didn't break tough, it was the digitizer underneath. It couldn't detect touch anymore.
The SGS4 had slighter crack, but heck, it's already slippery AF, and it was enough to drop it from 50cms or so.

I don't way to pay anything for a phone that's so cheap it's unusable, while I don't want to pay over $200 for a phone I'm going to break anyways, so...

Hey /csg/, I've been following the advice of the general for a while now, and it's time to pick a new phone, so I was looking at the Redmi Note 4.

The only thing is that I can't find any information on the differences between the 4x, the prime, and the pro. Does it really matter which one it is?

Another issue is that I live in the UK. Is this going to work in the UK at all? There are a number of sellers in the country that are selling the Note 4 which is great, but is there anything I need to look out for that might give me an indication that I can put any old UK sim in it?

Is there a cheaper alternative that I should be looking for? The Note 4's around ~£165 for what is a fuck ton better than my original phone (old Moto G, ~1GB of Ram, 8GB of storage) and it doesn't seem like a total rip off.

What's your thoughts, /csg/?

considering on my desktop the average page takes 1-3 seconds to load 90% of the elements 10 seconds is slow as fuck. I don't know how slow because I've never used anything but LTE but if I had to wait 10+ secs just to load a movie schedule or train times I imagine that would drive anyone nuts.

Been having problems with the transmitter that came with my H501s.
Despite using fresh Eneloops, the transmitter thinks it's out of battery after less than two minutes and turns the screen off. I can still control the drone as normal, but without any of the information I get from the screen.

I might just stick with 3g since I mostly use my phone as a pmp and to occasionally make a call/text. but the more I look into it is seems you can't even nail down what speed you will get with the "G" buzzword standards since carriers use different bands, sometimes in combination, in different areas to fulfill those standards. so I might get "4G" in the middle of nowhere that is less reliable or even slower than 3G somewhere else. and apparently 3G can be almost as fast as LTE or it can be like 144kbps down.

well my quick searching reveals that the phone I want supports GSM 1900, which I think AT&T (current carrier) uses for 3g, which in a 2016 test had damn good speeds where I live. AT&T also use 1900 for 4g, but I think that has to be in combo with another band to get LTE. so even if say the k10000 supports 1900, it's only "GSM 1900", I cant get 4G on 1900 alone. am I right about that?
