There is, it's just shifted towards discrimination QUALIFIED people.

There is something very wrong when you get:

Are you qualified? Yes? Good. Are you a woman? No? Well, too bad because our quota says this job mus be filled with a woman

then

Are you qualified? No? Well, I see you're a woman so you get the job anyway because we got a quota for women/blacks/gays/whatever so you get the job even though it's clear that you have no idea what you're doing. Just push the actual work you're supposed to do onto someone who is qualified and whine about racism or discrimination or something if they refuse to do your job for you.

This utter stupidity does solve itself over time as qualified people leave and a gradually higher and higher percentage of the workforce are dead weight until the company eventually goes under.

This is stupid, to work in silicon valley requires expertise and a will of iron to succeed, at least on research aspect. You can see whites, not because of some sort of the system that enables them but because of their pragmatism, even if they don't have results they sell themselves pretty well. Asians are asians, hard working and non sentimental.

These are only the perks of working under the pressure and to try to be competent and up to date, and that is high demanding. Usually the hispanic and black want a more chill life, so its difficult to see them in the upper echelons.

I have seen women in this sector, but most of them are the political type if white or the hardworking if asian.

I bet if you look at the diversity as a proportion of the overall US population its not whites that are severely over represented it's Asians... and I'm assuming they're putting Indians as "Asian" which is technically correct, but it's not useful when looking at data like this. It'd be much more useful to know the proportion of Chinese/Japanese/Taiwanese/Korean/etc separate from Indian. Also it's ridiculous how many people in technology are Indian and can barely speak English. A lot of jobs don't require perfect English fluency, but the amount that are managers and executives that have a poor grasp of language is way too high when communication is so important in those roles.
