What's so advanced about it? Linux is updated quicker and works on a whole boat-load of different architectures and devices compared to whatever gimmick Applel releases every other year.

I've used Windows as my main operating system for like 15 years. I've used it so much that I would grow sick and tired of it. 3-4 years after I first used it, I found out about linux distros, used mandrake, knoppix and debian. Through those years I would always want to go to Linux but there would be shit dragging me back to Windows, over, and over, and over. It's been always like that. At some point I decided that, if I got a laptop, I would definitely use a linux distro on it.

And then I found out about hackintosh when it finally worked decent. At first it was a pretty horrid experience. I would have to find out how to adapt myself to it, because surprise surprise, a lot of DEs on Linux work just like Windows instead of doing their own thing, and OSX works differently. But after a while I found out about a lot of stuff that would make me love GUI again. I adapted myself so much to how macOS works that every little problem is very minor compared to what I had with linux distros, and I find it nauseating to go back to Windows unless I really -have- to.

Now I'm trying really hard to find reasons to stop using this and use a distro, but I truly can't. Damn I'm trying. People say that macOS doesn't have anything that linux can't do, but hell everytime I ask around for alternatives people tell me to "stop doing X" or "stop using Y". That's no alternative.
